German settebello beats Germany and loses Felugo

(Wolfgang Philipps - waterpolo-world.com) One of the most unusual matches of the 29 th European Water Polo Championships here in Zagreb, Croatia was played in today´s quarter-finals. Here the new-look team from Italy beat World´s number six Germany 6-2 (2-1, 2-1, 1-0, 1-0) in a match with only eight goals and nine personal fouls. Italy is playing Hungary in the semi-finals to be held on Thursday night, while Germany is going for the fifth places against the loser of the upcoming Montenegro-Serbia match.
